Y6GF

Welcome to Y6GF

Our theme this term is Hucklow Explorers and we have many exciting adventures awaiting us. The children have come back to school with a fantastic attitude to learning and have been aiming high in all of their work.

This term we will be using atlases, maps and globes to locate countries all around the world. We will be focusing on key physical and human characteristics of countries and their major cities, focusing specifically on Mexico! The year 6s will be studying the differences between life in Mexico, Spain and Sheffield. We will study the land use in Mexico from the time of the Maya civilisation up to present day. The children will have the chance to delve into the Día de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead)!

Please help us to maintain the high expectations by ensuring that children arrive at school on time, are reading every evening and that all homework is completed to a high standard.
