On Wednesday 17th July, Hucklow held their annual Summer Fayre with products made by the children as part of their enterprise learning.

Products made ranged from homemade lemonade to Darwin pops (a Year 6 twist on cake pops!) and a range of games and even soak the teacher!

The soak the teacher event proved popular as Mr Kirman, Mr Dinnigan, Miss Irwin and Miss MacPherson ending up on the receiving end of the cold sponges but raising a fantastic amount of money!

At the event a special performance by Mrs Surridge’s Ceilidh dancers brought a wonderful round of applause.

The raffle again proved a popular event with many prizes handed out (there are still some prizes left to be claimed – check your tickets!)

A grand total of £1025 was raised.

Mrs Khatoon, event organiser said ‘I Just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU! for all your help and enthusiasm at the Summer Fayre! What a fantastic atmosphere!’

Meanwhile down in the Hucklow Nursery a brilliant event was had by all for their Summer Fayre with a grand total of £700 raised.

A huge thank you to parents, staff and children for making all events so successful.
